Development of unusual commerce solution for a global perfume manufacturer

The CTO of the “Waft” came to us with an idea of service which allows customers to create their customized fragrance of various ingredients. Our task was to develop the product from design to deployment using Node.js and Angular 2.

Smooth app flow leads a user through the process of creating their own fragrance step by step with convenient navigation.

We also needed to develop the brand identity for the product. We decided to use hand-written lettering for the logo, to underline the unique and custom idea of the fragrance which the users can create via Waft App.

The design of each step was created to help a user make his choice through attractive images that express moods and create catchy visual metaphors.

Once these steps are finished it’s time to select preferable ingredients. Moving from one type to another the user can choose among florals, fruit, fragrance of nature even spices.

The finishing touch of the fragrance wizard is an opportunity to design a custom bottle — the user can give his fragrance a name and add a small description.

We’ve also created a landing page for the fragrance wizard, which reflects the benefits of the service and explains how it works.

This project was developed from design to deploy. During preparing the design, we have decided with the deployment platform and choosing the AWS, immediately was created the CI/CD platform to make the development process easier and deliver changes to the customer, as far as it’s done.
